Levite Summit Conference Oct 26-27!

October 26, 2018 - October 27, 2018

| $75 – $95

What is the levite summit?

The next two Levite Summit conferences will be held on October 26-27, 2018 in Red Deer, Alberta and on March 1-2, 2019 in Kelowna, BC! Save your dates!

Our goal is to continue finding new ways to educate and inspire everyone to learning in worship, music, the arts, and leadership in a multitude of different ways.  But it’s also important to remember that most of us spend a lot of time pouring out our gifts and leadership for our God, our faith and our communities.  So expect to come to the LEVITE SUMMIT to be re-filled after all of that pouring out!

Our team is busy planning away, so stay tuned for more info and join our mailing list to be the first to hear all the announcements!

‘What is a Levite’

Simply put, a LEVITE is a servant. In the Bible, the Levites were those from the tribe of Levi, that were charged with the responsibility of serving in God’s temple. At that time a Levite could be a priest, a musician, or an artisan. But a Levite could also be someone from the tribe of Levi that was in charge of cleaning, building, or organizing. So, at the Levite Summit in this modern day, a Levite is anyone who serves in that same way. Young or old. A feeler or a thinker. A leader or a team member. A pastor or a worship leader. A songwriter or a painter. A technician or a musician. Dance, speak, write, lead, pray, act, play, edit…in the conventional church, or outside the walls in the community…If God has given you a gift and you want to use it to serve…then you are a Levite, and the Levite Summit is for you.

‘What is the Levite Summit’

It is an arts and leadership conference for Levites. If you fit into any of the categories above, the Levite Summit is a place for you to come and be equipped in your gifts and talents, and to share them with others as well. It is a place of learning and growing. It is a place of connecting and inspiration. Psalm 78:72 tells us that King David led with skillful hands and a pure heart. Attend to both of those areas in your life – excellence and passion, giftedness and maturity. Come to the Summit!

  • ‘What happens at the Summit’

Breakout sessions include inspiration and application, with spiritual and practical learning outcomes for registrants in areas such as WORSHIP and MUSIC, THE ARTS, TECH, COMPASSION/JUSTICE, and a MINISTRY/GENERAL track. Want to know more about the tracks and how they work?  Read on…

Red Deer – Matt Boda and Jeremy Kinniburgh / Kelowna – TBA

King David led with skillful hands and integrity of heart. Worship leaders and teams today are called to the same standard.  With practical demonstrations and opportunities for interaction, you will take your skills to the next level.

The arts are a valuable part of our culture, community and God’s Kingdom work. This year we will focus on visual art, through drawing, sketching and painting.  Hands on demonstrations and teaching have been designed to teach and inspire.  In this track you’ll receive some excellent instruction, and practical application!

Skills are required to support a creative environment that minimizes distractions and enhances the message and art forms being presented.  With unique responsibilities and pressures, technical volunteers and staff are vital to communicating the Gospel. Basic and advanced training will be available to equip you!

We are excited to welcome our partner in ministry COMPASSION CANADA who will provide a learning track focussing on Compassion, Poverty awareness and Justice while also providing resources for you to implement in your churches and communities!

These are some of the best opportunities for learning.  Prayer, Leadership, Artist Temperament, Conflict, and the Music Business are areas that have been featured in past years.  Stay tuned for more info on the Ministry track!  Registrants will gain new insights, find new resources, and meet like-minded people that share similar successes and challenges.
