The annual Red Deer River Cleanup relies on volunteers across the city joining forces to pick up litter along the river, creeks, and shorelines!

This event is free, but requires pre-registration by June 3 at 4:30 p.m. so organizers can appropriately plan for and follow COVID-19 safety measures. Cleanup times and locations will be staggered to ensure participants from different households don’t come into close contact with one another.

Over $500 in prizes will be awarded to volunteers on the day of the cleanup! All pre-registered volunteers who pick up litter on June 5 will be entered into a raffle for prizes such as rain barrels, backyard fun packs, and gift certificates.

All volunteers must wear a mask and closed-toe shoes. Visible clothing and gloves are recommended. Children 12 & under with an adult, please.
