Red Deer PCN Women’s Fun Run:  Re-Imagined

Every year, the Women’s Fun Run is held during Mother’s Day weekend to honour the incredible women of our community and inspire families to get out and be more active. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are committed to following all guidelines from Alberta Health Services regarding physical distancing and more, to help keep our community safe. However, we do believe it’s important now, more than ever, to remain active while being at home. So for this year, the Women’s Fun Run has had to think outside the box for our 2020 event.

We have decided to “Re-Imagine” how we can all connect virtually and continue to celebrate our health and fitness as a community. We are asking families to make a commitment to BE ACTIVE on May 9, 2020, in whatever capacity they can. Reach for a fitness goal, try a new activity, or just work up a sweat – it’s up to you!

The Red Deer PCN Women’s Fun Run: Re-Imagined is a FREE event. We encourage community members to register to receive offers and inspiration from our community partners, and to be eligible to win some fantastic prizes. We are supporting The Mustard Seed School Lunch Program and kindly ask for any donations to go towards this organization.

The Mustard Seed School Lunch Program

In 2019, The Mustard Seed’s School Lunch Program provided over 64,000 lunches to disadvantaged students throughout Red Deer. The program strives to provide meals for students who may not have one otherwise. Even though schools are closed, The Mustard Seed continues to offer lunches for children throughout the week to help families through this difficult time.
